Abstract
There
is a serious phenomenon of gender discrimination in employment in China. The
equal rights of women in employment have been greatly damaged, such as "gender
barriers to job hunting", "different pay for equal work", and
"difficult promotion of female employees". Although the government
has taken a series of measures to alleviate gender discrimination in employment
in recent years, the phenomenon that women are treated differently is still
emerging. In addition to the traditional social stereotype that "men are
in charge of the job and women are in charge of their own affairs", the
imperfect legal system in the protection of women's equal rights in employment
is also an important reason for this phenomenon. This paper proposes to protect
women's equal employment rights by making special laws, perfecting existing
laws and carrying out the inversion of burden of proof.
